Be Part of Our Research Team.....

CAA Field School participants will be part of an archeological team investigating the Koster South site, a Mississippian site neighboring the world-renowned Koster site. The Mississippian period (A.D. 1000-1300) was a period of cultural fluorescence as large population centers emerged in the American Bottom for religious and political activities. The Koster South site will contribute important information on the Mississippian culture here in the lower Illinois Valley.
